A shocking murder case from Rajasthan’s capital has sent shockwaves across the country after police alleged that a 23-year-old woman orchestrated the murder of her own mother to gain control of family property and secure a government job on compassionate grounds.
According to investigators, the victim, Neeraj Sharma (45), was initially believed to have died in a tragic road accident. However, the investigation uncovered what police describe as a carefully planned murder conspiracy. Authorities allege that the woman’s daughter, Ayushi Sharma, hired contract killers for nearly ₹7 lakh and staged the crime to resemble an accident.
Police say the alleged motive behind the crime was twofold: to inherit her mother’s property and to become eligible for a compassionate government job, which is often offered to a deceased government employee’s dependent under specific circumstances. Investigators claim the plan involved using an SUV to deliberately run over the victim, making it appear to be an accidental death.
The investigation took a dramatic turn after family members raised suspicions over the circumstances surrounding Neeraj Sharma’s death. During questioning and evidence collection, police allegedly uncovered the conspiracy, leading to the arrest of Ayushi Sharma along with several other accused believed to have participated in the murder plot.
